Forgot to mention that we tell you we’re just holding the bond in case you damage the property but we will take literally any excuse to keep as much of it as we can when you leave

Why do we get more truthful comments from comedians than out of elected politicians?

Beautiful diction. I've never heard "fiduciary" spoken without "douche" in it before :)

In the 70s and 80s you could pick and choose where to live at a reasonable rent. Great times. Had money left over for a nice car and multiple nights out with your mates. Brilliant. I pity the kids now.

I call real estate agents Sydney poodles. They all look the same. Men in tight trousers and flowery shirts, females in short dresses with orange spray tanned knees and cockatoo accents.

Forgot to mention that they’ll send “professionals” to certify the safety of the gas and electricity but they won’t actually check the appliances. So if you have a gas cooktop that is spewing gas into the kitchen when you try to light it and it takes a minute or two to get the thing to take then the burners go out while the gas is spewing into the kitchen, they say that’s ALL GOOD. They sent a guy as “a professional” who told me to hook a wooden spoon into the frame of the gas cooktop to keep the ignition button firing the entire time I was cooking, THEN AFTER THAT they certified the thing as safe. And the gas hot water system? They just looked at it from the balcony, took a photo, said “yes there is a gas hot water system” then certified it as safe despite not getting within meters of the thing. And that guy they sent out? He “fixed” other things too: left the front door lock installed backwards with putty and cardboard filling up a bloody great big hole, the blind he installed fell on me then the property manager tried to claim I’d damaged it (even after it fell on me it wasn’t damaged), he replaced the kitchen tap that was leaking and left the cold water at a trickle, it was faster to walk to the bathroom to fill in the kettle than to fill it in the kitchen and…

After the first VCAT hearing a partner (owner) of the property manager company sent an email threatening defamation proceedings and implying possible other retaliation if I challenged the lies the property manager told VCAT.
After VCAT made orders to bring the house up to minimum legal standards, they got a tradie to phone me to bully me in an attempt to force me to accept that they wouldn’t comply with the orders; they emailed me 16 times in 26 hours including after 10pm, threatened rent rise; raised the rent by $49 per week; sent an eviction notice on 18 December that wasn’t valid, sent another eviction notice in January that was valid, applied for immediate eviction knowing that I was waiting for my house to be finished, VCAT ruled to give us 3 more months, then the day after I gave notice of intention to vacate they applied to VCAT to evict me in violation of VCAT’s orders, then I pointed out that it was illegal (vexatious, harassment and in violation of VCAT’s previous orders) then they somehow got a hearing for 14 June despite VCAT’s previous orders giving us until 19 June.

I’m currently moving house but I AM FURIOUS. Bullying, harassment, and never ending Fking bullshit. They just will not leave me alone. There are laws against this, they know it, but NO ONE POLICES THESE LAWS. THESE BASTARDS CAN DO WHATEVER THEY PLEASE WITH IMPUNITY APPARENTLY.

I had really good rent…then my landlady sold up to move into a retirement village and I had to move back home with my parents…at nearly 50. If they downsize I’ll be in my car and homeless.

similar where i live. Also, need to prove you earn 3 x the amount of the monthly rent. (Can't share or add flat mate without approval from landlord & the roommate also must show 3x income to the amount of rent.

Lol a house for $200, 000…. Where? Houses aren’t that “cheap” in Australia anymore. Not if you want to live in near civilisation.

As someone who just moved out you forgot to mention that they'll take $409 because they found a fly and had to call a professional cleaner for it.

And a further $700 because a window had a crack on it, the same crack that was there when we moved in but forgot to put it into the move in report.
