I rented an RV through an agency last fall. It was expensive, but I crunched the numbers, and the owners were INSANE for doing it. Aside from all the risk, anxiety, and effort of renting, they also lost money. They were losing over $0.50 per kilometer because they didn't consider depreciation. I'm buying my own shortly, and I certainly will NOT be renting it out.

Better to buy a used one then sell it after the trip. I am planning a 3 month USA trip. I do not live there so a quick sale will be needed. Regardless RV fees for rental would be 30k or more.
