Can grease pencil replace 2d animation softwares like toon boom harmony and adobe animate?

that's okay....I don't care for much of that. I do everything old school frame by frame which luckily Blender allows. Almost like a choose your own adventure lol and work around the tools given.
Even now i was working on a simple running animaiton of 110 frames per second.
I mean I get it, people like to use it almost like puppeting a character so that way they don't have to go through the "trouble" of drawing out each frame and then coloring each frame. But I find it more passionate done that way but that's just me
I was sincerely hoping for more of an update of more ffreeway like "oh you have alittle dot that's not connected to the line no biggy we will still fill that for you" allowing fills to be less strict.

ironically blender's animator tools regardless seem to be even more advanced yet easier to comprehand then toon booms. and that was an animator everyone looked up too, everyone wanted. Even me. But after trying it out, yes the drawing is fine, using the same curve instead of pxiel tool.
but every new copy and paste it wouldn't be it's own image, it was the "same" unless you kept going in and saying "duplicate" so it KNEW it was it's own image. not even that, every stroke was it's own stroke, not apart of the "character" so you'd have to combine it together afterwards
and legit a 4 step "level" instead of layer so it didn't confuse people of going to your art, you see it's not there, go back to the level 1 select it, go back to level 2 press K now add color repeat for all frames. that's ridiculous!
it was like toon boom just wanted you to throw away the idea of old school traditional animation.
I get it, everyone wants well....ya know....things done faster, "better quality", out sooner. but there is still some love for traditional art. without wieght painting without bones without puppeting.
I guess I'm just an old school person.
and sadly not a lot of companies cater to that side of animation anymore....

Wait, you can use bones with grease pencil? That changes everything.

No way the weight painting tools are better in grease pencil than in a 3D mesh lol

one F - of - pronounced quick, snappy OV (åvv)
two Fs - off - pronounced drawn out AWF (ååf)

I included approximate Norwegian phonetic spelling, just for you.

I wonder how many studios and indy developer list "industry standard" software but use Blender lol.
