Grease pencil is a 2D animation and drawing tool in Blender.
Previously you could draw strokes in 3D space that didn’t interact with 3D objects.
But now you can convert grease pencil to 3D really easily with Geometry nodes.

Thank you for making this Dantti. I wont do this for my projects though, this is waaaay too much effort if you have to do this for multiple objects in multiple scenes. I wish blender made this easier...

Thanks a lot for doing this video so quickly Dantti. Legend. I have to say, I really hope this is not the end plan for shadows with gp3. It should just be a one switch toggle. Shadow on/off on a gp object or even just globally. Imagine a scene with multiple characters, multiple scenes, having to append this into every object. It’s completely and utterly unintuitive right now. Cool result, but…..way too complicated for 90% of users.but thanks again for showing how to do it right now.

Geometry nodes support for grease pencil is great, but unfortunately so many good addons just don't want to work on 4.3 anymore. Also the new instrument tool bar is kind of annoying so I'd rather stick to older blender version until i find a way to fix these issues
