This video puts my mind at ease because I decided not to get surgery after my partial tear in my Achilles in August. I’ve done all the research I could and pray that I made the right decision. But my only question is how is the performance outcome without surgery? I hear the healing is the same and it looks as good as the surgery but it’s been difficult to find that information.

The "Last Resort" comment caught my attention. I have a partial tear and am afraid it wont heal properly. I'm an active person Jiu Jitsu, Snowboarding etc. Have you seen people do non surgical that are this active and do as well as surgical? PS. surgery is also MUCH more expensive.

Hey I have Achilles tendinitis and I want to get back to running/ sports. I got offered tips that I should add weight when I do heel drops to neutral level. (Wearing a backpack) . Is this correct? Will this increase my load and help me get to running?

Hello! I really appreciate your content. Your videos have helped me get rid of my years long symptoms from achilles tendinopathy. Unfortunately, 5 days ago I aggravated it while slightly had to walk faster. It was pretty sore afterward. However, 3 days ago while carefully walking around a park I once again went to walk a bit faster without thinking and felt a little pop in my achilles. Fortunately it did not rupture. The tendon is still attached. But now it hurts worst than before and it is painful to to push off from my toes from a standing position. Oddly, I can still do seated calf raises with some weight.
My question is, I have noticed you don't mention wearing a boot for partial tears. Do you find that heel lifts are enough support the healing phase of a partial tear? Right now heel lifts are all I am doing for support.

Hi! I have a chronic inflammation in the tendons in my lower back, I went to a physical therapist and he said that it only can get healed by cortisone injection and that anti inflammatory pills won't help. I also went to the emergency room recently and they said that I should get anti inflammatory pills! I don't know what to do, should I take the pills or not! ( Like why should I take it if it doesn't help!)

I need some guidance on my situation? I just had a retear on my Achilles it's a partial tear tho .. the problem is, that the 2cm tear is at the end of the Achilles . So I'm kinda skeptical about surgery or the non op route . Can it really heal on its own? How long it may take . Then the recommendation is doing a fhl transfer ..

Hello, i was bitten by my cat last week around the achilles area. I can't properly walk right now. Is there a chance that I got a partial tear?
