"Phones to escape the reality". So true. Recently i realized that i open the social media apps without even noticing. Now i am trying to downgrade from my iphone 13 pro to iphone se 1 gen to see if it will change my media consumption. Potentially, if i like it, i would buy 13 mini at some point. SE 1 gen is a bit outdated nowadays...

Still don't understand big phones. Where am I meant to put it when it doesn't fit in my pockets?

I switched to the Apple ecosystem because of the Iphone 13 mini. Great device and in my opinion the perfect size for a phone. Smartphones nowadays are just too big for my liking. I love this form factor and I would like Apple to release a mini Iphone every 3-4 years or so. I get that it is pointless to launch a mini Iphone every year when the sales are low, but every 3-4 years so the mini lovers always have a perfect device for them to buy would be amazing. A flagship phone in a small (normal) form factor.

I have a 12 mini as personal phone and a work-related 13 pro. I do very much prefer the mini despite the battery shortcomings for the exact reasons you nicely described. The iPhone with the best form factor ever was the 5 in my opinion.

Releasing the SE just before the 12 mini was baffling to me. As a small phone person, I nearly went for it. So glad I stopped myself and picked up a 12 mini when they launched it

I really like my 13 Mini. It's my favorite phone. I plan on keeping it well past when it stops getting software updates. I'll replace the battery when necessary.

The iPhone 13 Mini is the greatest phone I’ve ever owned. It’s amazing, super light, and uber powerful.

I love being able to run around the backyard with my new puppy while recording 4k 60fps video without feeling like I’m holding a brick in my hand.

Even if the Mini was $200 more, I’d still get it. That’s how much I love it.

I think that Apple will bring the Mini back but not call it the “Mini”. They’ll use a different name.

I’m still hoping for a iPhone Mini Pro. :)

I upgraded from the Google Pixel 2 to the iPhone Mini 13. Smaller phone with a larger display. It’s perfect for me.
People like it when they see it especially when they have tablets or small laptops because they use them for media consumption or reading more than they do on phones.

I assume the new iPhone SE (if they change that ancient form) would replace the mini

I love my 13 mini. I got the dark green one. For me personally I am a very active person. I like to listen to music while I skateboard and ride my bicycle. The mini 13 is very pocketable. It doesn’t feel like a huge bulking object in my pocket. Also filming video while skateboarding and bicycling is made easy with the mini 13 because I can securely hold onto the entire phone with my entire hand while jumping around and going in motion. Other than battery life and screen size, there is no difference from the normal iPhone 13. I also like the idea of something so powerful being so small!

Watching this video with a Ln IPHONE 13 mini, and I totally agree in my opinion I would rather get a smaller phone that I can use with one hand on the go and avoid using it too much so I could Enjoy life more as well

I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.

I had the 12 mini for 2 years until last week when I traded it in for the 14 pro. The 12 mini was a really good phone but there was one thing that was making me really mad about it and I just wanted to get rid of it… that was the battery life; it was atrocious. If I had waited a few months, I would’ve gotten the 13 mini which was a lot better, but I still would’ve probably switched to my current phone eventually. I personally preffer the mini form factor but the reality is that that’s not going to be a thing anymore so I just have to get used to there large phones which people don’t consider large for some odd reason.

I am done with playing games and watching movies on phones. To me, those activities are best enjoyed on big screens. That’s why I bought an iPhone 13 mini. Love the small size and light weight of it.
Yeah I still watch YouTube on the 13 mini but the videos are mostly informational which I don’t pay a lot of attention to the visuals.

When my 6S finally gave up the ghost (what a workhorse!) I wanted something with a similar form factor, so I went for the 13 mini just as the 14 line was being announced without a mini version, and they'd lowered the price. A super-fast processor from what I had been used to, and I'm grateful for the tougher glass. I did miss the home button, but I was able to create one that I can move anywhere on the screen. The only issue there is to find a place to park it in screen space that other apps don't use. (First world problems.)

I had a 13 mini on two different occasions and loved them, they were the perfect size, my partner still uses the 12 Mini and loves it, wish they carried them on

as 13 mini owner - i’ll say that it’s the most solid, thought through, practical and efficient mobile device from all the ones i happened to use to this day - from the very first 2G to 2nd gen SE2020 iPhones and a couple of android devices - HTCs and Meizu - I used in between.
there’s literally nothing to not like about it - including the size of the screen. for the time of posting this, my take would be simply “it’s the best smartphone that current generation could produce”. sue me

The Mini ended up in an interesting place over time. I use my phone very little by today's standards. I don't do social media, don't watch videos, don't play games, take very few photos and my screen on time average for a day is about 40 mins. I basically use my phone as a modern day pager to let me know to go find a larger device to reply to something, haha. When it came time to get a new phone to replace my XR, I considered the SE. But the SE has gone up in price over time and the 128GB model is $480. Meanwhile, the 13 Mini got a price drop thanks to the 14 series arrival making the 128GB 13 Mini $630 unlocked. Even though the SE would be more than enough phone for my usage, for that $150 difference I went with the Mini just for the better battery and form factor alone. I really think they just priced the Mini too high at release, and as you pointed out, put it too close to the regular iPhone model and too far away from the SE. Now that it kind of sits right in the middle, it feels more appropriately priced. I'm curious if sales have actually gone up since it got the price cut. It would be nice if historical sales ended up showing it wasn't a complete failure after all, perhaps it just needed a price drop and time.
