Is your Home AC not turning on? What can you do? You need air conditioning! Well this video helps you hopefully figure out how to fix the problem of your AC not turning on. These steps shouldn't cost you money. My AC would not turn on and it was 100 degrees outside! We called the AC repair guy and we would have had to wait for several days for him to come out. I figured it out well before then. The problem with my AC not turning on was that the drain pipe was clogged so i simply ran a wire down it to get it unclogged and BOOM! working AC. Good luck fixing your air conditiong! And i hope that helped.

DIY Tinker's video going over other steps. Slower pace than my video however very valuable information.

Talk about getting right to the point! Thanks for the free troubleshooting tips. I don't understand why people have 20 and 30 minute videos when your video was the most help and only 2:58. Thanks

This video was so helpful. My inside circuit breaker has AC and a furnace switch. I flipped the AC switch off and on, but it didn’t work. So I then I flipped the Furnace switch off then on again and that did the trick. Thank you so much!

Thanks! This worked for me. I used a long screwdriver. Stuck it down the pipe and wiggled it around. A few seconds later I heard water dripping. About 5 minutes later the AC came back on. Probably saved us a couple hundred bucks. :)

Happy to see a helpful vid that isn't just a company add in disguise. I can't seem to find much help with our issue but we're gonna check the drain just in case.

Thank you so much! I suffered last night. 85 in my house. An unusual few hot days in NYC in April. My issue was a switch that was halfway on/off. Switched to “on”. Saved me from calling a technician. Thank you 🙏🏾

I came across your video while trying to "troubleshoot" a recent problem with my A/C system... 86'F in the house, and the A/C wouldn't come on. I cleaned the condensation coils, flushed the drain, and changed the filter... Also clicked the thermostat and the main breaker switches "off" and "on" again... And nothing working, until I re-watched your video. It also inspired me to take a closer look at my overflow sensor cup thingie... Thinking that maybe there might be something (ie. dust/dirt) interfering with the sensor wire despite the overflow cup being completely dry? So I took a Q-tip to carefully clean inside the cup... Found a small hole (where the overflow water comes up from) and poked the Q-tip inside that hole... And VOILÀ!! That did the trick!! The A/C clicked on immediately!! That tiny hole inside the overflow drainage cup was blocked with dirt/debris and interfering with the sensor. I wanted to pass this along just in case it's helpful to someone else as well. Thanks for your video!!

Thanks so much! My problem was also a clogged drain that triggered the sensor. You've saved me time and money.

Thank you! Just saved me from Texas summer heat! It was the drain pipe, I looked down in there and saw water standing. I tried my super plunger (pump handle type) and it freed up whatever was causing the issue. Water still can be seen, but I suppose that's expected to a degree. At least now I know about this aspect of my AC system and can start keeping up with the service for it by adding some white vinegar to help keep it clean.
