I'm 57 and last year I was looking for a job. Hiring signs everywhere. You could only apply online. I applied just about everywhere. I didn't get a single call back. Not one! I finally called in a favor and had a friend talk to a friend to get me a job. It's nice to know who you can depend on.

I went to local Piggly Wiggly, bought 18 pk eggs, loaf of bread, case of Dasani water, and pack of Ham lunch meat, bill was $22.94. I am retired but doing okay. I went back to work for old company part time and also have another side gig. My thought, what are families going thru with children. I lived thru Jimmy Carter Day's and will tell you that most people are not ready for what is coming, this will be worse because most people today are entitled little Prices thru the roof, job losses rampant, and crime thru the roof. The world was civilized in late 70's-early 80's compared to today. Get Ready. Last note, I live in the woods down a 200-yard driveway, I have no security lights and live in the dark. Thieves love lights, they can see what to steal. Plus, without lights thieves do not know what my security is. Just

Took my son to look at a Subaru they wanted $17.500 for a 2014 with 95000 on it. Decent credit, the monthly payment $430.00 I told him to get a bike.

I think people are too compliant when it comes to what's going on with our food supplies. I question the millions of chickens and their eggs being destroyed on sometimes a single (questionable) test. All the over 100 coincidental fires affecting food processors and or food warehouses in less than 6 months in the US. Stricter ridiculous laws on the farmers, ranchers, even the Amish. They want us eating crickets, and disgusting insects.

I am 63 and have half a dozen applications at hardware stores. I am an electrician by trade. I have the knowledge, but too old for crawl spaces or attics. I can tell you and show what you need, but stores will not hire me. Home improvement stores that start with Highs, or 48 boards, or supplied lawn cutters, or Duce, or fishers Freight (the names were changed to protect the innocent). I can only make less than $1000 a month because of SS. Easy Right?!?! God Bless and stay safe.

Tip for shoppers: I have always had to count pennies and I add things up as I go. $1.99 is rounded to $2, etc. That way I have a close estimate of what the total should be. If it's more than I'd estimated I don't leave until I inspect the receipt--and I watch the prices ring up as it happens. You can't be too careful these days!

I've been wondering what people are doing for money too. It's bizarre

My husband 67 years young....had to get a part time job in order for us to compensate for the increase in prices on EVERYTHING. He is a driver for several large (for our area) auto dealers. They pay him $.25 cents a mile to drive the vehicles where they need them. No he is not making a lot...but in todays time even $50.00 a week helps us survive living on Social Security. We grow a large for US garden and have chickens. I home can almost everything I can get my hands on. WE will survive but we might not have HEAT this winter or A/C next summer and we live in LOUISIANA where it gets VERY HOT> but we are SURVIVERS!!!! Blessing to ALL.

I'm working 3 jobs, plus all the extra hours I can get on one job. Seeing more grocery shelves empty, and the same price increases as everyone else. Used to eat a fast food burger each week because of coupons. Haven't got coupons in a while, so our outings are Mexican food restaurants, who still pile a load of food on the plate for a decent price.
When people can't afford things like movies, theme parks and restaurants, they have to close because they can't afford the overhead. That puts more people competing for work. I'm afraid we're headed for a depression, intentionally and shamelessly set-up by the elite.

I know but when you do apply, the first thing your asked is "are you vaccinated". That eliminates about 1/3 of the unemployed.

I'm your favorite senior widow. 3 years ago dog food for my Amazing Grace was 30$ for a 30 pound bag, today it's 90$! Grace is a Pitsky that is 108 pounds and she has cancer and on 2 medications that are over 40$ each. I'll do without fruits and vegetables to take care of her. God bless all the furbabies and those who love them 👑 🙏 💞 ✝️ 🐾

I've been trying to hire a helper (I'm moderately disabled) for MONTHS. Light housework, laundry, helping me dress...nothing back-breaking. I've called maybe 75 names from the county's list of available workers, set up 3 interviews, and each one no-showed! Its a guaranteed 3 hours a day, stupid easy work, pays relatively well and has benefits....and no one wants to work. I'm at a loss to explain it.

Wally World cashiers bad at scanning items twice, too that you didn’t buy more than one of. I’m in the habit of checking.

Make and pressure can bone broth from EVERYTHING! You can use it to add protein and minerals to the most basic meals...use sweet potatoes, potatoes, flour, carrots and home ground rice flour to make dog/cat food with bone broth! Save bones for pets!

I find it’s good to go to self checkout in Walmart AND take a photo of anything I think is gonna give me an issue. Saved me so much time when I was buying canning jars and it rang up way higher. Also helped me when a lot of shoes were clearanced and none of the shoes were tagged only the hooks they were on. Some stuff rang up full price even though I did match the sku with the shoe before I put it in my cart. You have to assume now things won’t be right.

What happens when we can’t pay our bills e.g. the minimum payments on mortgage, credit cards, loans etc when you are on Social Security and not able to work anymore. Tough paying for medicine and gas too.

Ever think that the disappearance of food is forcing more and more people to shop at Amazon? Complete destruction of ALL competition…
