The Derry along with the Navistar are my two main saddle low trucks, and both are capable. Try putting OHD I offroad tires on the Derry rather than highway tires then do a mud run. And it's funny you say it's unstable and prone to tipping over, you then show a clip where you fall off the wooden bridge and STILL can't get it to roll over. Um, where's the instability you were talking about? lol Cause it's looking pretty damn stable to me. And no it's efficiency isn't one of the worse, Navistar burns far more fuel, as the Paystar 5600 and a number of other trucks. In my experience the Derry is actually pretty decent on fuel.

I will give you the engine isn't the strongest, it's one of those trucks where low range gears are often your friend. But drive it right, and it'll get a lot done.

Can't be too mad at the CAT, a lot of people underestimate or just don't like that thing. But you got me in definitive mode now with the Derry Longhorn 3194. I'm not letting you slander that truck when I use it often and am very aware of what it's capable of doing. The CAT I can let slide, but the Derry, nah man. You're not getting away with that. I'd put one of the Freightliners on here, oven the ANK long before the Derry. Hell how is the Derry here but not the Tatra 805? That things tippy as hell, has no auto winch, and can only haul large trailers which it's much too small to haul. There is no way that thing is better than the Derry. lol

I'd love to know the mindset of the devs when they green lighted any of the Highway trucks. Its absolutely mind-boggling.

You should have showcased their upgraded configurations rather than their stuck ones. Most stock trucks struggle in rough terrain. It's a given a Derry Loghorn with highway tires isn't great on mud.

I love these trucks. They show you the skill of a driver. Granted there are places where absolutely they shouldn't go, but man it is a dopamine hike when you go through some parts with these trucks...

Hard disagree on Derry Longhorn 3194, it has always on AWD and diff lock, and is one of the only heavy trucks with low saddle that can also equip chains for rocks and ice, this truck with the top engine, Highrange box, OHDI's and a loaded semi-trailer will barrel through mud and snow, all the while covering a large distance for the fuel used.

As others have mentioned, a fully upgraded Derry 3 is a decent semi tractor. The bizarre thing is how you justified your dismissal of it: driving on a test map that doesn't reflect most of the actual game's terrain, and getting stuck in the Black River north crossing. The only reason you'd ever take that route in any truck is if you were a brand new player and didn't know any better! 🤦

Personally I love the 57x it’s not the best but I like a good challenge and the looks of it

All of these vehicles have purposes. Sure they are probably the "worst" in the game at offroad, but they can be great with offroad tires and if used on specific roads. I love using the highway trucks for the challenge as well. To each their own, but too many people discredit these trucks. For simulation purposes i even use the forklift to load trailers. Just takes a little getting used to. I transport it with a trailer to different warehouses.

So just because you can't drive them doesn't make those not good trucks. The derry always felt stable to me, hell I've taken the little ford places you wouldn't believe, just loose the highway tires and put some weight on the drive wheels.

The worst truck is the 770G, if you want a fuel truck you can sell it and buy a couple of GMC9500's and fuel add-ons, and still have cash left over.... other than the Yukon special mission trailer it is completely pointless.

Was using both the 57x and the derry longhorn last night in Alaska for the same delivery then I see this today. They both have some good applications. Makes the game more enjoyable using less capable trucks sometimes

I agree with the big Cat and 57x but not with the other ones . I mean come on, Derry? I use it all the time and i have beat Kola Peninsula with this big boy.

I have used the Derry Longhorn before, and I'll say it's a good truck to have if you know how to use it. It may not be the strongest powerhouse, but it holds its own, as a tank hualer should, and it always on AWD and DIFF can make you go through a fair amount. Not mention its a stable truck as this video shows, (it fell off the bridge but remained upright) plus the only time it fell on its side was back in the old glitchy days when the game was name (form season 4 or before i think) and although I'd people say that the newer longhorn is better not to be the case for me for a modern day tank hualer its really underpowered. So yea the Derry longhorn isn't the best butbits faaar form the worst.

I use the CLT 9000 and the Western start 57x fairly consistently and with upgrades they do just fine. And the Cat Telehandler without the fork is the best rock crawler in the game. I use it to recover trucks all the time. This video just seeme like someone with skill issues or using trucks wrong.

This Derry is a good Truck. Initially it's a bad option but after upgrades it's a very good truck

Derry longhorn is a absolute beast if a truck just don’t take it in deep mude it’s great at low saddle and pretty good at high Sattle it has a pretty strong engine and is incredibly stable and also has 370L fuel tank one of my fav trucks

Truck #2 should have been given the option to have AWD and/or diff lockers which would helped it out a lot being driven off road.
