Best and Worst Fast Food | Consumer Reports

For hamburgers, fried chicken and Mexican food, how do the big names, McDonald's, KFC and Taco Bell, compare with other fast food chains?

I dont consider Mcdonalds to be "food" anymore.

In New York, the only best fast food restaurants on the list are Chipolte and Chick-Fil-A. All other fast food restaurants here in New York are the ones that are on the worst in the list.

LOL... Sbarro! Their food sucks and it's so expensive (relatively speaking that is). The one in NY City (49th) isn't too bad but I guess it's because the food is always moving so it's mostly fresh.

I have worked at taco bell in the mid 80's . back then then they didn't use instant beans . they were prepared like you would make them in a crock pot. they used real beef, too. the food now looks the same going in and back out

McD is always at the bottom of every freaking survey I have ever read, yet they're always busy, must be those dumb toys they include in their tasteless, nutrition deprived "Happy" meals!

It would be nice to see fast food chains combine healthy nutritious food with speed and convenience.  Fast food doesn't have to be unhealthy.

Great, so the best rated burgers are found in a few states in the southwest.  What about the best burgers of national chains, or at least other regions?

The big fast food chains are here to make money and nothing more. There is a local burger place near me that makes fresh burgers and fries, not that processed mcdonalds stuff.

Sbarro deserves every bit of that bottom rating. Ate at one in Sacramento International Airport out of desperation (nothing else was available in the non-secure part of the terminal). Never again. Not surprised that the company is circling the chapter 7

First and for most, I like to say a few things

1. Chick-fil-A is nasty and should be the worst fast food restaurant, KFC is eidible because their chicken is nice and crispy

2. I agree with McDonald's taking last place and I agree that it's the worst fast food chain of all time

3. I only go to Taco Bell for their desserts

I wonder where Whataburger is on this list.  They are far superior than In and Out, and that's a scientific fact.  OK, but seriously, those from and around Texas will generally agree the variety and taste is awesome.  They come out with new items, and you can customize practically anything between two buns.  Those who haven't tried it can't compare.  

I also will advocate for Freebirds.
