Whether it's the Big Mac at McDonald's, the Whopper at Burger King, the Baconator at Wendy's, or the Mama Burger at A&W, fast food joints have gotten very inventive with their burgers over the years. These days, they're getting thicker and higher, and a few even feature some unexpected ingredients.

As a chef at Fuddruckers, I think we should have ranked higher.
Not because I'm loyal to the company cuz I'm not.
But as a chef preparing ur food, we do in fact do a lot of work to make sure it's perfect.
At my location at least, we are not afraid to dispose of burgers we wouldn't eat ourselves.
The only down side is the wait time. Good food takes time.

I've never been impressed with Five Guys or In and Out Burger. Where is Whataburger and you do get mustard on your burger at Wendy's. However these days I rarely eat any fast food.

I have NEVER in my life had a burger from Wendy's that was hot.They have ALWAYS been COLD and usually with cold, congealed fat on them.

I guess I need to try In N Out again, because the couple times I've eaten there it wasn't anything special. I agree that Shake Shack Shackburgers are a little small, but they are

In & Out patties are rather small. So if you order the single patty it's hard to really taste the meat very much. But if you order the secret menus 3 x 3 it's a great tasting burger. I rate it #2 in my book. My #1 is the big and full patted 5 Guys. I love them with toppings like grilled onions and mushrooms for free. It just can't be beat. About half of the places we don't have here so I don't know about them.

When I moved to WA for a year, I was crestfallen that the closest IN N OUT was in OR. I had to wait an entire year to indulge...But it was WELL WORTH IT!
