If you are old like me you may remember the original Whopper - 7 or 8 inches in diameter. You truly needed two hands to handle a Whopper!

All depends on the management/quality control at each individual restaurant

Sometimes the old Mom and Pop places that aren’t part of a chain, have wonderful burgers and often put home fries on the plate for no extra charge.

I went to a White Castle in New York once and asked for a half dozen of their cheeseburgers, the girl at the till said we don't have dozens but you can buy six or twelve of them... Her supervisor was standing behind her and took her aside for a couple of minutes.

I had a 5 guys burger once, and all I can remember is how expensive it was. I don't remember anything about whether it was good or not.

Canadian A&W is like HIGH tier. Top 5 of this list for sure. We still use the original A&W recipes the US stopped using in the 70’s.

As they got near the top I was thinking that they were leaving out Culver's. Never expected them to share my opinion that theirs are the best burgers. There is hope for the burger eating world.

You can't talk about Red Robin having high prices at $10 and say nothing about BurgerFI small burger combo setting me back almost $15.

The best burger I have ever eaten is the ones I make myself, only three toppings, green relish, ketchup and a thick slice of sweet onion. Toasted bun is a must..

When I was in my mid-teens, I ate 25 White Castles sitting at the counter. My waitress said that she had never seen anybody eat that many in her 20 yrs. of working there. After that location was torn down for a bridge project, she was transferred to other locations. A few years later I ran into her at a WC that I frequented and she remembered me. She even told her fellow workers that I was the one she had told them about. I was flattered, but only had maybe 10 sliders that night. She said that I still held the record of what she witnessed. Yes, I did give her a generous tip that night. She retired soon afterwards. JMO.

Man, remember back when Wendy's burgers were dripping in grease and the bun and salad were on your shirt leaving you with a meat and cheese ball in your grease covered hand?
Soooo good!
Now they're too health conscious to taste and "wear" right.

Gotta love ordering a cheeseburger and the person taking the order asking if you want cheese on it.

I have a Culver's near my apartment and every so often my sister and I stop there for lunch. The place is always sparkling clean, the employees are always friendly and helpful and the food is always out of this world. Their burgers are only one attraction. Their frozen yogurt is by far the best I've had. Their concrete mixers (like a Blizzard, only thicker) are to die for. Or you can just get a pint of any flavor you want already packed and ready to go. Their prices are a little steep, but for what you get (clean eating area, friendly staff and great food) it's worth it.

I am so glad that this is only someone’s opinion, and opinions are like...well, you know.

I’ve been passing on fast foods since sophomore in Hs. I’m 61now My father a cattleman, we ate real beef all my life, straight from his packing house The difference ws unreal I’ll never be able to eat that fast food, meat, I’ve got to see what I’m eating. Cooking your own food is healthiest, you know what’s in there!!!!

I was fortunate enough to live in Wisconsin, birthplace of Culver's. Yummy. Not to mention, they excel in customer service.
