High quality protein and fresh veggies, fruits are good & part of a good diet. I'm surprised she said no one over 60 is going to be doing push-ups - I still do push-ups, and they're a great workout for many muscle groups. The other thing I think was missing was weight-bearing exercises - to increase bone strength. When you go for your brisk walk, try carrying some 1 - pound weights and swing your arms as you walk - you'll notice the difference! It helps!

Thank you this information is very helpful, l always had a very slim figure and was so proud of myself, until one day l was so shocked when I realized that I have the middle age spread and almost 10 lbs overweight, now to get back in shape is a hard job, but l am trying, thank you Margaret and you beautiful ladies out there.

I've heard and read that one's metabolism doesn't slow down as we age. I also know that exercise and lifting weights helps one to stay leaner and burn more fat as well. I'm one of those women who is active and tries to eat well but still cannot lose my stomach!!

Very informative! You hear so much and read so much that it can be confusing!!! Some say a vegetarian diet with fish only for protein & some say high protein-Low carb. I'm type 2 Diabetic, so I've really got to watch my carb intake. Very sensible approach! TFS

I eat salad for lunch, veg and protein for dinner, no pudds, no sweets or chocolate, low carbs, I do my 10, 000 steps daily, but STILL gain weight :-( Used to be so slim.

What does she recommend for over 60+ women to eat for protein on a vegetarian diet? Do beans and rice have too much carbs?

I'm doing every single thing mentioned here. I do resistance training three days weekly and zumba another 3. (And I DO keep up with the younguns) I'm just getting in to yoga. I eat a 1200 calorie very low carb diet with an emphasis on protein and healthy fats.. In the last 6 months I gained 20 pounds and now weigh 230. I've had weight loss surgery, but whereas other lost well into the 100s, I lost 70 and landed at 210. I don't know what is wrong with me, but something obviously is. Where does someone like me go to find a specialist who understands this

I eat a pretty good amount of fruits and vegetables but this video motivates me to go even harder with them ´;) It's great to know how much good they really do for the body!

I’m not 60 but I haven’t had a period in almost 5?years I don’t like sweets but craved alcohol and now I’m fat like really fat . How can I stop this craving? By the way my 52
