Your kids are allowed to be bored

That boredom is also what taught some of us a good work ethic. We were bored so we helped dad cut the grass or helped mom make dinner. We learned some valuable life skills while not being entertained by the internet, and also spent quality time with parents!

Growing up during a time where iPads first started to exist, I never was just given something to pacify me. My parents would give me ideas on things to do inside and outside. But in the end it was up to me to find something to do. I learned to be okay with being bored after a while.

The fun thing listening to this is that i hate going outside so much that making me go out as a kid was literally a punishment. I absolutely hate it even to this day as an adult. Meanwhile, i was perfectly happy to go play with legos or read books or play with dolls/stuffed animals or play video games. As a kid, i was 100% capable of entertaining myself and generally was miserable when my mom made me do things like play board games or anything to do with the outside.

It's not enough to just say "go not be bored" to a child. First TEACH them how to do things constructively so their boredom doesn't become a destructive outlet.
THEN let them loose on the world.

Frs lol I would take the door hinges off the doors lol or stick magnets in the outlets one time n the the electricity went out for like five min lol or get hurt outside

Something interesting I've noticed with my son, if I buy him all the toys in the world I'm limiting his creativity. Why make a garbage truck if Dad can go buy one, now he and I try to create as much as we can from what we have

I wonder if this dude took care of his babies hours at a time? We all need rest. Their boredom is very much our problem. The effort to solve their issue is just that. Clown
