Do women prefer taller men? If so, does mean that shorter men are at a serious disadvantage when it comes to meeting, attracting and dating women?

Here's the honest truth: yes, short men are at a disadvantage when it comes to attracting women. Most women find taller men more attractive than shorter men - at least at first glance.

But there are many things that you can do increase attraction that have nothing to do with your height - or any other genetically determined trait that you have no control over.

In this video, my friend Rick (founder of DateSchool) talks about his background and journey in the "pick up artist" world, including how he made a name for himself as a dating expert at just 5'6" tall.

He also teaches you three simple techniques you can use to increase attraction when you're interacting with a woman you just met. They're dead simple, although they do require some practice to perfect.

Ugly is ugly regardless of height. A good looking guy at 5'6" will have much more success than a tall guy who's ugly. Now, attractiveness isn't always a physical thing. So if you're good looking but terrible person then you'll never have a date.

I'm 5'7. What I can tell based on experience, yes there is a disadvantage. But not as much as people think it is. Women are much less attracted to men with complexes, and low self-esteem than the actual lack of height. We just need to learn to shake off the women who reject us, and keep going until we meet the ones who DO want us.

I appreciate the premise of this video, but not sure if I would agree with some of the advice. Depending on the type of woman you're trying to attract, a smile is a great way to exude confidence and positive energy. Yes, no need to go overboard with your smiling - just keep it genuine. I know I personally feel naturally attracted to women who smile.

I'd be interested to see how to enhance one's facial features to look more attractive (e.g. haircut, jawline, grooming, eyebrows, teeth, etc.). Also, I'm curious to see what kind of expressions one can make to look more attractive or be more fun. I know I've furrowed my eyebrows to seem more tough and brute at times.
