Macro tubes are the same thing as extension tubes, right? For low shooting, I really like the Platypod. I've never tried using a flash, but you can be sure that I'll be using it next time I'm out doing macro shooting. Thanks for posting this vid.

I have a Sony a7ii and I recently invested in a Sigma art 105 Macro lens in order to teach my self Macro photography and I am finding that there is a real learning curve to it or maybe it is just me. I don’t seem to be able to see the in focus live view but for a split second unlike using my kit lens or a prime lens; I feel like I must not have something set correctly on my camera and or lens. I set my camera to manual focus in the camera menu as well as setting the lens for manual focus and I also set the lens for my distance and I also have my peaking focus set but once I see the object is in focus and I can see it is up close, the image all of a sudden looks like it is far away and I no longer can see the object magnified. What am I doing wrong??? Do you have any suggestions?
