Looks like some really good tomato juice ! We got the hook up this year on lids and jars from my wife's work . We got them really dirt cheap . We have had failures with canning over the years because it can be kinda tricky sometimes . If I was Poppa I would had said a few cuss words lol .

Uh oh Poppa. Can you redo that one in the waterbath? If I remember right from the last time I did waterbathing, the sealing didn't actually occur until they were in the cooling process.

Those looked like huge jars. Too bad that happened to your Dad. What a mess! On the other hand, it did show everyone what could happen if you don't screw the lids on at all. Take care!!
