I paid my dues for a decade. I have no issues maintaining my size with the bare minimum volume, and I'm genuinely happy with my legs. I don't want them to be bigger, and I don't care for more PRs at the moment. Maintenance is cool, don't project your body dysmorphia onto me. Worry about your own tree trunks, or lack thereof.

I’m just realizing this now. Im 5’7 have 28 inch thighs, and can squat 500. Leg training is highly demanding for recovery. I’m backing off on my own leg training to bring up weak spots on my upper body. Looking good alex

Hey Alex, as someone who is mostly focused on calisthenics and gymnastics rings stuff, I don't skip legs but clearly use fairly less volume and often times work them 1x per week or so

A history of leg intense sports when I was younger and fairly decent leg genetics allows me to still maintain size while doing the minimum, I absolute hate the hypocrisy of people who are all about leg day but completely ignore people's subjective goals

Truth is, for general health and longevity, having good flexibility and a bare minimum of leg strength is going to be more than enough.

I'm in a similar boat. Legs grow like crazy while the upper body lags behind, so now all I do is some leg curls and moderate RPE squats until my upper body catches up.

Honestly I don’t even think you need to ‘pay your dues’, train how you want and if your goal physique doesn’t include huge legs then treat them as such. As someone who wants tree trunks I think people too often project their own goal physique onto others, which I’d say ignores the beauty of bodybuilding in terms of all chasing our own ideal self image. Some people want a v taper, some people want an x taper, and that individuality is an awesome thing about lifting

Although I have a personal love for big legs/leg day, you have achieved a f***ing solid lower body and as long as you're happy with it it's fine to maintain it
