Secret To Ending Front Shoulder Pain (Biceps Tendonitis)

What's causing the pain in the front of your shoulder when you are working out?

Answer: Commonly it's inflammation of the tendon of the long head of the biceps muscle

The tendon of the long head of the biceps is a long shoe string type tendon. It actually fits into a groove in the top of the humerus (arm bone) bone. This helps it stay in position. It then attaches into the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula (shoulder blade).

The tendon can sometimes get "stuck" in that groove. Or, can even slightly come out of the groove. Either way, it can result in tendon inflammation (biceps tendonitis).

So what can we do? Grab a spikey massage ball. Rub it across the tendon (cross friction) from the outside of the shoulder towards the inside. Perform external shoulder rotation as you do this for 30 seconds. Next perform cross friction massage from the inside to the outside of the shoulder. Perform internal shoulder rotation while you do this for 30 seconds.

This technique will free up the tendon or get it back into it's groove.

Thank you, this is what I'm dealing with. i need to try this just need to acquire a spikey ball. Wonder what else i could use in the meantime? 🤔 I'm getting pretty worried that I'm going to snap the tendon because of that slipping feeling. It's taken me out the game for a while twice already. 😔

Sorry, but this is wrong on so many levels. Massaging over the InFLAMED tendon ??? WTF are you doing. It does not even adress any underlying problem. Which is usually muscle imbalance and limited range of motion.
