Zhiyun Servo Follow Focus not working? Here's how to fix it.

If your Zhiyun Servo Follow Focus isn't working right out of the box, this video is for you. It took me so freaking long to figure out how to get this thing fixed. Hope this helps!

what worked for me was to check the labels on the cables and use the correct cables, if it doesn't work then use the cable with no label. I use a canon and tried using the label that says canon on it and it still didn't work, but then after trying the cable with no label, it works perfectly for some reason hope it helps.

Maaan, you have saved my LIFE! Priority - external, priority - external.... Thank you! There really is less info (almost NO info) in google.
So the problem was that the wheel on the gimbal does work with follow focus motor, but the the bluetooth remote control (ZW-B03) didn't! So it helped, thanks a lot!

Hey guys make sure the USB cable is connected at the bottom of the servo follow focus. Plugging the cable in "plus camera" icon port area on the side next to the flashing lights doesnt allow the servo to communicate with the Zhiyun wheel. Stress and anxiety will go away with this simple tip.

I bought 2 Servo follow focus, the First one stop working in the middle of a shooting, Used 8 months! Any ideas why it was not working, so after that a bought another one. Used 4moths, and again stop working. Then I realised that this thing need to be charge. I try my micro usb cable that a used to charge my phone, nothing ! ( But the weird thing is that the flashing lights indicates it's fully charge ) Whenever I plug the servo to the gimbal, the light flashed, but the motor did not work. I try every tutorial, updates, Nothing !... I'm in the way to buy a 3rd one... But hope Someone have the solution and makes a video about it !

Many thanks for this. Everything was working using the main controls on my Crane 2 but I couldn't get the wheel to operate using my CRANE 2 Motion Sensor Remote Control with Follow Focus ZW-B03. Setting priority to external sorted this out for me. Incidentally, I am very pleased that the servo follow-focus can also be used to control the zoom on my Lumix GH4 !

So I got mine and went strait to setting up on my crane 2. The battery level appeared low but it worked as expected. Took it back off of the crane 2 and set it to charge for the night and when I did that a few lights flashed in some sort of sequence, to which I haven’t got a clue as to their meaning or significance.

The next morning I checked the unit and nothing happens. Won’t turn on and none of the lights work. Any idea what’s to do?

Hi Sammy, saw your video today in 2019. Yep, I know. So, after a long battle I was able to connect my crane 2 with follow focus unit and with my old Nikon D7000. In Wheel option, I set the pref to external, and set A-B points. Now the wheel on the crane handle works perfectly. The only problem I'm facing now is, everytime I connect the cable from follow focus unit to my dslr, my liveview is going off! And it will not start recording!! I don't know what am I doing wrong!! Can you help?! Thanks in advance.

it's 2019 and I'm still trying to find a solution. I've tried two different follow focus units, and neither works. My crane 2 is up to date (v.1.73) and the wheel option appears on the menu, but nothing. the cables are attached correctly, but still nothing. I'm beginning to wonder whether my crane 2 is faulty? Heeeelp!

i got a zhiyun weebill s gimble and i bought the follow focus seperetly' it worked great !
then i lost the cable that connects between them.
when im connecting other type c to type c cable its not even turning the lights on.
What can i do with it?
