Avoiding injury is so so so important. You potential is limitless if you never get injured.

I agree leaving 1-2 reps in the tank on most of your working sets is the best approach when it comes to building strength and muscle in the gym, but keep in mind that most people who work out have a poor gauge of what muscular failure actually looks/feels like. Under the right circumstances, I think it would be beneficial to train to failure to have a better understanding of what it is like to train with 1-2 reps left in the tank.

He's right bro. Especially if you want to train everyday.
Diet and sleep is primary tho

The problem with this advice: You will never know where to gauge where 1-2 reps is if you never train to failure, because you wont know where failure is if you never train to it.

This is actually pretty good advice for people who go to the gym like 6 days a week and hit a muscle 2x per week but if you are going to the gym 3 days per week, go to failure. You have to balance the intensity and the frequency or you sacrifice your gains because you are overtraining your muscles and not giving your nervous system time to recover.

No. Just recover properly train 3/4 time a week and you’ll be fine

Exactly. As long as you’re getting sufficient TUT and Progressive Overload is all that matters. And of course hit your macros.

Got it, Not to failure, but keep progressing.

This is so important. You can’t make progress if you go to failure and beyond on every set. That’s literally why you see all the push pull legs bro’s still bench the same 185 for 10 they did a year ago.

Truth. This is solid advice and also something I’ve noticed from my own experience too

COMPLETELY disagree so many people train like they’re in a coffee bar out shopping. You HAVE to hit it hard then rest sufficiently especially when you get older. Don’t take advice off narcs who shuffle around in gyms in crocs with tripods.

I’m 40 years old and I agree with bro here. That’s how I’ve been training for almost 2 decades. Stronger and leaner than in my 20s. Also I never seem to exhaust

Couldn’t agree more. It’s genuinely so annoying to see gymcels calling other people weak cause they don’t train to failure

I think it’s better to say just don’t train to failure all the time so that your actually able to progress effectively

I train to failure because I give my best when I train, instead of spending my life in the gym going through the motions.

Low key this is facts. Look at all the powerlifters man, they don’t train till failure unless they’re competing. Granted most of them don’t do cardio and aren’t ripped, but it’s the same concept.

yeah it reminds me of a coworker of mine we were working i was just new there, and i was "rushing", trying to do quick .. and he told me ... calm down, you need to work today, tomorrow, next week.... meaning don't over work yourself all in one day :D
