7:16 reminds me of a quote by Mark Twain "The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as effective as a rightly timed pause"

Oh, thank you Emma for the tips. I love to slow my speaking down at work and pronounce all the words clearly . In this way I sound like a native without too much effort. Love it.

Hi Emma, how's it going?
So you explain in this lesson what exactly I have observed: professionals speak clear: professors, lawyers, doctors, etc. They usually speak very clear. This got me confused because if I wanted to sound professional something told me that I had to speak clear and not so fast, but, I hear everywhere: if you want to sound like a native you have to spesk fast and connect the sounds. Now you clarify this confusion for me: professionsls speak clear because they want to be sure that their message has been fully understood.
Thanks Emma and keep it up!!
I liked it when you said "Let's get professional".😉

Thanks Emma, for this very good lesson! I work in a multinational company where I have to practise English everyday. When I have to ask someone to do a task for me, I usually ask using the expression "can/could you please do it?".
One of the differences I noticed between American and Brazilian culture is the lunch time. In Brazil we have usually a one-hour lunch break, and we respect that break. In the US I saw that people go back to work as soon as they finish eating. Kind regards from south of Brazil!
PS: last thing: your intonation looks very happy and enthusiastic to me.
