So, to be clear...you can only recover your data IF the phone was rooted BEFORE the factory reset?
I forgot my password and have so much stuff on my phone I cannot afford to lose, but my problem is 1)The updated software (I have Android Marshmallow) does not allow for users to reset password through Google account.
2) I do not have a samsung account to reset password from.
3) I had not enables USB debugging before hand, so I can't seem to use a third party app to backup my data.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I called Samsung and they were completely useless, not to mention I'm still pissed that for some genius reason you can no longer reset your password through Google accounts

But you already have your data backed up so if you erase everything getting it all back is no problem....my phone had a reset done but before the reset all my pics had that cloud on it so I assumed it was all backed up well apparently it wasn't, so can I retrieve the data from the phone with out the back up!?
