By default, Microsoft provides an AutoRecovery option which can recover files that were saved, but their latest version cannot be accessed because the system or Excel crashed.

I saved my file and created a new folder but can not find it at all. And it does not even show as recently used on computer or excel. I did this in hopes it saved the prior saved one but the folder is empty. :(
