I have been looking into nonprofits on and off for a while and I think it is an appropriate way to structure the type of work I am interested in doing, but the hardest part seems to me to be... finding the right people to work with from the beginning. I know the work itself is very important and needed (converting vacant and degraded spaces to publicly exemplify human design that is beneficial to the water cycle and ecosystems, produce diverse high quality food locally for communities, and create free learning opportunities related to this) but it is surprisingly difficult to find people who are passionate about this who would be appropriate to create a nonprofit with, and a lot of the work to restore and improve lands without trying to become owner of them seems like it requires having that legal recognition as a charitable organization to even be taken seriously in the first place..
