Funny how easy it is on this video, i have a cable between them I can’t get the aimesh working

This is completely and utterly NOT how things went for me. It was a completely different experience getting it connected to my phone, and the internet. It, in no way, mirrored this tutorial. To make matters worse, once it was hooked up, I could get a connection to it, but couldn't stream anything on my TV. Literally nothing would work. I'll be calling ASUS on Monday morning, and/or returning this router. Couldn't be more disappointed. I've hooked up so many routers before, almost exclusively ASUS for that matter. The app didn't help, and whatever is going on with their new routers (ax6000) is a mess.

Andrew, there is NOTHING easy about setting up an AiMesh with ASUS! Furthermore, trying to get live help from ASUS on the web is aweful. I'm SO sorry that I spent good money on a AC88U and 2 x 66U to 'AiMesh' my home. ANNOYED !

I'm using ac86u as main router and an ac68u as mesh node. Seems most of devices still connect to ac86u even they are really close to the mesh node, they just won't roam. I guess it because ac68u signal is too weak compare to ac86u? Is anyone using 2x ac86u as mesh system? Just wondering how's the performance. If 2x AC86u works well I may concider buying another ac86u.

I just do not get it. Over distance the speed and quality of wifi is faling down. How the main and the other one could get same results of speed on 2.4GHz and 5GHz?
