I have flashed and used more than 20 ROMs and never faced any kind of issues.
This guy is only demotivating to not flash custom ROMs.

Firstly there is a difference between rooting and installing custom ROM
Regarding security, most of custom ROMs are based on AOSP which allows user to monitor the phone in all aspects and track any suspicious activity
Also if someone is not happy with custom ROM can revert back to stock recovery and stock ROM.. simple
Also phone has 3 different modes. Even if Android system has corrupted files, you can go to recovery and flash the system again. If Recovery is corrupted too, you can easily enter in fastboot mode and load the operating system using ADB.. see simple

BTW I am currently using Pie based custom ROM on my phone which I would have abandoned 3 years back as my manufacturer stopped giving updates without any issue since 2 years.

Honestly, I think that this video was created to get more views by having different opinion about recent trend which is flashing custom ROM. I would personally recommended making videos on anything else but technology coz you doesn't seem to be sufficiently literate in it. Thanks.

Used my galaxy j7 15 for 5 yrs.... Smoothly only due to costom rom ... Recently linease os based on android 10 with latest security update.U can get info about bugs too in xda dev . This guy is so ignorant

but custom rom toh developer pe depend krta hai... aur agar first time install kr rhe ho... tab uska risk hota hai ki aage chal ke kya kya ho jaye... agar pahle se kisi phone me tested hai toh koi dikkat nahi
Waise bhi agar kisi ka phone kharab hota hai toh dukan wala us phone me custom rom hi install krta hai... toh aap chah kar bhi aise risk se bach nahi skte

1. security: All android custom roms are required to be open source and and do not lack any kind of security. unless the developers want their image ruined on the whole developer's portals they won't have any keyloggers or spyware in them.
2. Choose better roms, if the rom officially supports your device then there will be a team of people to fix those problems.
3. Don't be lazy. Don't be ignorant. Phones get bricked if you flash incompatiable roms over each other(Dirty flash) or you flash a rom that's not compatiable for your device.
4. Don't get misinformed. Custom roms are there for providing unofficial android security patches which won't be available if the manufacturer has ended the support for the device.

I am currently using AOSP extended. I never faced any of these problems using this custom ROM. Maybe you don't know, XDA developers mention all the bugs and installation guide to flash custom ROM. If, you flash any custom ROM correctly, then we don't have chance to brick our phones.

Most famous ROMs are port from Pixel devices so security of these ROMs are control by Google itself and Roms are device specific so there are less chances of bugs and problems
Before flashing ROMs you should do research about custom recoverys and roms then try to flash it and u will surely be successful now a day's things get easier than before
