How to keep Updating your Old Android Phone Forever?!

Yep, you read the title right. I'm gonna tell you guys how I keep updating my old android phones.

As an XDA Developer I'm very familiar with flashing custom ROMs. There's some things you failed to mention that anyone who may try flashing a custom ROM should be aware of. Most of the ROMs you see on XDA are considered beta tests. It is during these beta test where a developer creates a ROM and puts it out there for testing. We then get reports of bugs (difficulties) and go about trying to correct them. This happens because usually we use the firmware from another device and modify it to fit into another device. So don't be surprised when you flash a ROM and your camera doesn't flash or Google Play Store repeatedly crashes. The title of this video is incorrect on the fact that you cannot update my HTC G1 (the very first Android) to 8.1.

I have a Huawei Fusion 3 (Tribute), and want to update it. Would love a custom rom installed and would pay someone to root it. I just like it, but its running 4.3.3 and stays there. I don't used data, but there are some apps I want to run on it via wifi.

I have the Samsung galaxy S3 neo and its running a custom ROM on it, it's AEX 7.1.2 and its actually a great experience to use latest versions of android on old phones.

Can you help me out? I have a LG fiesta 2 Android I think I bought it about three years ago I can play call of duty mobile, frag, watch videos no problem but when I play games it is a little laggy and I'm not able to change the options to high graphics so with this phone the fiesta 2 can you point me in the right direction of where I need to go to update it? Hello, I have a Samsung s10 5g and I had to flash or root to use with a carrier that's called visible. I can't update my phone without losing all my downloads, numbers, apps, notes etc. anymore all after flashing it. Is there any way to change the settings to be able to update my software without having to lose all my things in my phone?
