I know that my fussy skin barrier wouldn’t have tolerated anything but the slow and steady course. Tretinoin and azelaic acid (with some niacinamide) has worked for me! Thanks Dr. Sam!

I appreciate so much that you included the extra care needed for Skin of Color, that is so important and it isn't included in a lot of skin care videos. Thank you

Thank you so so so much for bringing in the difference with skin of colour. It is such a key difference that we can often make the situation worse if we go in too strong with our actives compared to Caucasian skin. Great advice and thanks for sharing as always! 💕

I have always had combination acne prone skin.on Jan this year I had severe breakout which made me start tretinoin which almost took 4-5 months to subside the purging and finally i am now left with PIH with on and off one or two breakouts which lasts for shorter duration than before. During the purging time I also started with azeliac acid in serum formulation after niacinamide in the morning routine and still continuing with tretinoin every third night and in between I also use salicylic acid 2%from paula’s choice and alpha arbutin along with aha bha pha chemical peel once weekly. I am already started to feel confident again and the best advice is to be patient, follow skincare routine with discipline and let the drugs do it’s wonders. Happy Skin to everyone 😊

Fantastic information! I didn't realize that benzoyl peroxide was an anti-inflammatory. I've been using it twice a week for about two months now, and think I have noticed a reduction in my PIH. Good to know 💖

After my wound healed on my cheek - it turned brown after 14 days. Now that it's over 2 months it has faded. I was told by my dermatologist it take time to fade. I just started using hydroquinone and I can see a bit of improvement.

Hi Dr. Sam,
I’m currently using all of your products exclusively and have noticed once I cut out any extra products from different lines that my skin has improved dramatically. The only things I use outside of your line is makeup. The Gossamer Tinted is used as my “Beginner” base but I still need extra coverage. Any thoughts on dipping into a makeup line geared for acne prone sensitive skin? That would be AWESOME!

Hi Dr Sam. When using my hydraquinon after tretinoin, can I use it on say, a whole cheek that has more than 3 marks? Or should I only "spot treat" (u may have answered this in ur vid but think u we're reffering to AA?) I've heard so many conflicting answers fm other derm channels, but u seem to specialize in this area! Love your channel btw!!
Ps I'm using differin"s hydraquinon, not a prescription😏

I've learnt a lot from this, thank you :) Just wondering how to treat my daughter's acne, she is nearly 10, and has been getting spots on her chin and around her nose. She also has eczema and very sensitive skin. She was recently on antibiotics and antiviral medicines because of a strong breakout. At the moment she has one stubborn red scar on her chin. I use azeleic acid and Niacinamide myself, which work great for me, but I know this is not for my daughter's age. At what age are children fine with these? And could you possibly make a similar video to today's, just orientated towards the young age? Thank you <3

Does it matter whether I use BPO in the evening with adapalene & gentle cleanser in the morning instead of the BPO in the morning as you suggested ?

Hi Dr. Sam! I'm currently struggling with PIH and I'm using Azelaic acid + niacinamide + hydroquinone 2% morning and night, in that order. It's that okay? Or should I just use the Hydroquinone alone
Thank you so much for your videos ❤️
