I have the same plan! Getting my ADN followed by BSN, work for a bit, get experience, enhance my resume and apply to PA school!

As a current freshman in college (taking pre nursing classes) I’ve been so confused and lost about what to pursue wether switching my major to something else so I can later apply to PA school or sticking with my 4yr nursing program and then applying to PA school. Thankfully your videos are very helpful and provide a sense of relief that there are options for me :))

Great video!! I wish that the schools in NY were more similar. As a pre PA student I required classes such as organic chemistry, physics, and am being pushed pushed to take genetics, pathophysiology and biochemistry because apparently soon those will be requirements as well. It seems to be due to the compettetiveness I guess. Congrats on getting into PA school btw! Best of luck

Did you take nursing classes finishing your bachelors first then took the classes needed for PA or during your undergrad you took nursing classes and classes needed for PA?

What PA school did you plan on going to? I took the same prerequisites that you took, so I’m wondering to apply to the same PA school you got accepted to

I’ve done most of the prerequisites at community college and I’m transferring to a university to finish my bachelor’s. I have to take a year of organic chemistry and biochemistry for the PA schools I want to get into so it’s gonna be a grind! I just got certified to work as an EKG tech so I can get my patient hours in but I’m finding that it’s really hard to work and go to school at the same time. What do you suggest I do? Work over summers? Work after I graduate?

Did you take any physics courses? Because I have taken physics I and decided if I will need to take physics II or not stand out more. I am newly retired from the military (Army) and have earned my bachelor's in psychology from AMU while being on active duty. I have a few more courses that I will need to take before applying, which I plan to apply to next year. Do you have any advice? Will research be a great idea?

Question for you: say you start PA school in the fall, can you take some of the pre-read right up until you start PA school?
Thanks!
Also, how is PA school going?

Hi can you please clarify some differences between biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, mammalian physiology and genetics and which one you would say is the easiest with no prerequisites to take them? I am noticing every school has different biochemistries, different mammalian physiology course names, different genetics class, and different molecular class and also different schools require each class with different prerequisites and with lab. It’s so damn confusing and how are you suppose to figure all of this out and know which ones are easiest that don’t require lab or more hard prerequisites? At first I thought oh great I’ll just take biochemistry but didn’t realize it also comes with lab and you must take organic chemistry with lab before you can take biochem. I wish and hope you can clarify this confusion. Thank you always great to watch your videos.
Also what PA school did you chose to go to?
