Remember that you have A LOT of basics anyway. AP English AP history AP bio and AP chem as well as either AP calculus will net you a lot of skipped credit hours.

My school has barely any AP classes and no AP foreign languages. There is also not many dual enrollment classes offered to us as well. It’s kinda sad but we aren’t that big of a school so it kinda makes sense.

Don’t take AP, take dual credit. Dual credit has significantly less work involved and you just have to pass to get the college credit.

My number one regret in high school was taking AP and watching how easy my friends had it, only for us all to get the same credits

I disagree with taking Calc BC AP exam. I would take the class to prepare for college, but getting a 5 in BC does not mean you are adequate enough to take Calc 3 after. Many people i know failed calc 3 as BC is not equivalent to a professor teaching Calc 2 or even 1. May cost extra in credits, but the transition is easier. Take BC, dont take exam. If that is too fast paced just take AB

I actually don’t recommend using your AP credit for courses relating to your major, at least from my experience. Taking some starter courses so you know what you’re getting into is good, but absolutely get any and all core curriculum in your state out of the way, it’ll be a lifesaver.

Yes, but consider that if you are planning on applying to some kind of graduate program, and therefore need to maintain a high GPA, it might be better to take those classes that you already have a solid base of knowledge and get some easy As while making the transition from high school to college a bit easier

hot take: I feel like ap classes are too slow and the only difficult thing (apart from the exam) are the in class tests and quizzes (I have enough time to finish them in a given time limit, they were also not that hard)

me when I want to major in engineering but my school wouldn't offer physics C until after I graduate and they wouldn't make Calculus BC a class despite >10 people signing up for it

My school blocked be from taking A because I didn't finish Algebra 2. I am taking 2/precalc next year.
I signed up for a community collage course that does C++. Only requires pre algebra

Dont take APs. Take dual enrollment with your local community college. There isnt a signal metric that AP beats dual enrollent in
