The Daily Yupari | TRANSFER TIME - Beginning the underpainting

In today's video we will be transferring the drawing onto the final canvas. We will begin the underpainting with a stage that I like to refer to as the "poster image". This stage is about clarifying a clean and clear division between light and shadow. The dark light (darkest halftone) will only be used to add specificity to the boundary between light and shade.

Tomorrow we will continue the poster image which will set us up for the next stages. I hope you have a great day and I'll be back again tomorrow!

I'm really liking these tutorials, the step by step arrangement is a cool idea, easy to follow and most importantly not overwhelming. Thank you yupari.

How did you start the transfer drawing? How did you get it so big?

How did you transfer the drawing actually? Putting it on the actual panel after drawing and then pressing it on the panel with the pastel. I’m sorry but I am very ignorant when it comes to drawing?
