This is the sixth track from Deep Purple's ninth album, Stormbringer (1974).

Lineup (Mk III) - Ritchie Blackmore: guitar, David Coverdale: lead vocals, Glenn Hughes: bass guitar and vocals, John Lord: organ and keyboards, and Ian Paice: drums

Lyrics:
Have you ever thought of the feeling
I get when I'm alone with you
It's causing me worry and trouble
I'm going 'round in circles
Don't know what I'm gonna do

You can't do it right
With the one you love
Nothing you can do
Without the one you love

You were always playing my records
When I was after making some love
But I need more than the music
To keep myself together
Although it makes me feel so good

You can't do it right
With the one you love
Nothing you can do
Without the one you love

Sometimes in the morning
I wake up without you
Can't get up, it's getting me down
Tell me what you're trying to do
Later in the evening
You come home feeling low
If you'd stop your cruising
Maybe we could make a show

You can't do it right
With the one you love
Nothing you can do
Without the one you love

Ritchie could really write some hooks, one of my favorites to play

I love this song so much. Sometimes I just keep going back to it while listening to the whole album. That clavinet and analog synth combo that John Lord plays is amazing.

Stormbringer album stands out more the older it gets. Perfection!

Mindblowing that Lord and Blackmore were playing this, considering prior and future efforts

Now that we can all give Stormbringer the love and respect it so rightly deserves, lets move on to Come Taste the Band. An even funkier excursion.

Sickest funk metal jam of the mark III era!

Stormbringer was an absolutely brilliant album in so many way. Although my drum tutor was a big band drummer it was still brilliant to learn double stroke rolls on a snare drum like Ian Paice played.

Stormbringer was growing in me, i always love the MK II and liked one or two songs from Mark III, but now i could see how great this album can be.

Funkin driven album by DP, and it´s great in my opinion David & Glenn changed the way that the band sound, you can hear a lot of Bobby Blue Bland influence on Covardale wich remained on early Whitesnake. As usual Blackmore, Lord and Pace are amazing.

Acho este álbum muito bom! Comprei ele em vinil há vários anos sem esperar muita coisa, e me surpreendi! Ah, e para mim, a voz de Hughes supera a do Coverdale!
