“Oh Well” is a song originally written and recorded by Fleetwood Mac. It is accompanied by a music video that shows Deep Purple on a very special mission.

Label and management would like to state that nobody from the band or crew, nor members of the media, were hurt during the shooting of the video in Germany in early October.

“Everyone knows ‘Oh Well’ is a great song,” Roger Glover says. “Steve did the demo for that one. You never quite know where it‘s gonna go with Steve because he is very inventive. Right up until the point, with a couple of verses in, it was pretty much the same as the original. And then, all of a sudden, it took off like a rocket… in some other space.”

“Turning to Crime” is the first studio album by Deep Purple entirely made of songs not written by the band and previously recorded by other artists. It is produced by Bob Ezrin and will be released on earMUSIC on November 26, 2021.

As a lifelong Purplehead, I was one of the few old diehards who didn't immediately start groaning when they announced that they were going to do an entire album of covers. I stuck up for the lads, saying, "Come on, given all that talent and all that history, virtually anything they do is going to be amazing! Shit, I bet the lads could do an entire album of friggin' nursery rhymes, and STILL pull it off with grace and style."

I'm overjoyed to have been proved abso-freakin'-lutely right on this one, lads. A brilliant cover, very faithful to the original, while still featuring that inimitable Purple twist! You guys totally rock, and if this first cut is anything to go by, I'm sure the rest of the album will be absolutely stellar!

That was great!!!...I love the original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green ..Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer. Deep Purple did their own spin on this song and it is awesome!!! Great artists and musicians can do that. This goes back to the original beginnings of Deep Purple when they did their version of the Beatles song Help. Bravo boys and the video was funny and entertaining!!!!
