This is the fifth track from Deep Purple's eighth album, Burn (1974).

Lineup (Mk III) - Ritchie Blackmore: guitar, David Coverdale: lead vocals, Glenn Hughes: bass guitar and vocals, John Lord: keyboard, and Ian Paice: drums

Lyrics:
You fool no one, waiting to see if I'm gone.
So hard to see you are taking your chances with me.
If I find you with some other man
you know what I'm gonna do.
Better run if you see me comin', ah.

Soon you will fall, making mistakes like before.
When you tell me lies I can see by the look in your eyes.
If you think you're gonna take me for granted,
chasin' round with all you see,
gonna make you live to regret it, ah.

You fool no one, waiting to see if I'm gone.
So clear to see you've had all your chances with me.
You thought that you could take me for granted
but I couldn't take it no more.
Better run when you see me comin, ah.

Never heard this song before, and I grew up in the 70’s. It’s such a wonderful feeling to discover a rock classic for the first time!

saw DP play this live in 1974. Ian Paice was muffling that crash with his elbow. incredible.

Ian Paice is playing the hell out of this groove while choking his crash cymbal in realtime… One of the GOATS!!!

This song is damn perfect if you ask me.
Fantastic vocals by Coverdale and Hughes, Hughes's bass lines are just insane, main riff and solos by Ritchie are outstanding as always, John Lord there keeps everything grounded and Ian Paice.... God almighty, that drumming is just legendary.... Pretty. Freaking. Perfect. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Deep Purple of the Late sixties Early Seventies was more my Speed.
Made in Japan remains a Classic example of what a Live Band should sound like!!

This album is a master class for trap players. And the thing is that Ian is still showing the world how it's done.

Ian Paice. The most underrated rock drummer in the world. Always seems to be the name missing from all the greatest lists. This track and Pictures of home show just a little of what he is capable of doing. Respect

It’s like Ritchie cradles each note in his finger. No matter how fast or how slow he plays, he makes each note sing! I never get tired of listening to this song.

Ian is tight, funky, and in the groove. Peerless drummer. The whole band is incredible, and this song sounds like a locomotive thundering down the rails!

This will always be one of Ian’s best parts he’s ever played. So much fun to play well. And not easy to lock with. 🙏🥰🥰🥰

Это непостижимо. Гитарное соло и барабаны, голос, слаженность всего .... Нет слов просто, как люди такое могут придумать, создать, исполнить?! Удивительно, замечательно гениально !!
