Omg thank you! I’ve been commenting a similar thought everywhere that I hear that argument. Obesity can lead to a multitude of complications and chronic disease as you said. Diet and exercise is part of the toolbox but not everything.

Thank you for saying this!!! Diabetes and obesity are both diseases which warrant treatment. I’m so tired of people saying “all you have to do is” stop eating and exercise. If it were that simple, we’d all be “the ideal weight”. Obese people always get a bad wrap, ie. you eat too much and you’re lazy. That is not always so. According to society, we don’t need medical help. I do say there has to be a change in mindset with one’s relationship with food. Once I achieved my ideal weight, I began to monitor my food intake closely. I give myself a five pound play scale, if I see myself getting gaining 3-4 pounds of that 5 pounds, I begin to dial back my calorie intake. This works for me. I wish people would stop bashing people for needing help with weight loss. Be more of a help and less of a critic.

I agree with your statement. For those needing Ozempic for weight, if they loose the weight they probably won’t have diabetes. For those that have diabetes it will probably help maintain them.

If people want to take a drug that make them artificially feel full thats ok with me. The real question is will they develop discipline after they no longer take the drug?

My doctor wants me to take this for weight loss. I am very concerned that I will never be able to get off of it. I also am trying to gain muscle mass. I’m concerned I will lose muscle. Thoughts??

Pharmaceutical companies should Increase production. They have the funds to do it for both medical & fat reduction! They are the ones causing this issue, they are Making big profit from celebrates & desperate people who will pay anything to get it, The Pharmasudeical companies don't care about health just "Profit!🤔

I'm sorry but my husband is a diabetic and we spend about 3, 000 a month so he can stay alive! So you people that are taking away from people that actually need .. take your a$$ to the gym instead of making a shortage for people that actually need it
