My in laws are vegan, my mother in law makes all from scratch, uses very little oil, I see her always careful with fats. They are in their 80’s with barely any health problems for that age! Not one medication ! Few years ago we lived with them for few months and tried to eat exactly as she eats, same amount of food and I gained weight ! Don’t know why cause there is so much fiber in her food ! She needs to gain some weight but she can’t ! Anyway am going to try what you eat and see how that goes ! I love fruits ! Balanced hormones with good food are the way to go not to count calories!
They eat 2x a day so they eat ;

Breakfast: grains ( oats, buckweet or milet)
Dry or fresh fruit
Nuts and seeds
Almond milk
Piece of bread with almond butter and home made no sugar added jam
Green smoothie

Lunch/dinner

Could be quinoa salad or yum, sweet potatoes or red potatos
Green salad, some roasted or baked vegetable and patties made from oats or bean/lentils roast ! Lots of beans and lentils in diet too !
Don’t understand why I have gained weight !

Out of curiosity, do you eat junk food here and there, even if it’s rare, do you still indulge whether it’s a slice of pizza or a couple donuts? Like what about on your birthday and some cake?

Your content is AWSOME!!! But please do speak slower. BECAUSE your content is so awesome and so important I think it really needs a slower presentation. All this content is not new to me so I do not have to digest it even for speed is to high to really gasp how important these things are or to be able to memorize what you say.

High carbohydrate diets don’t do anything for satiety, whole grains fruits and legumes have no long term satiety affect. Fat and protein have the most filling affect among macros. Try building muscle in this diet, i was a vegan for 8 years and I felt great for the first 3 years. Health declined slowly due to the lack of minerals and bio available nutrients in plant food. With the presence for phytic acid and lectins in the diet it’s a great way to slowly lose grip of your health by affecting the ability of nutrient absorption, and the lack of protein makes it difficult to maintain enough lean muscle mass. And on top of all of this, the bio availability of the protein in plants is minimal meaning that you have to eat considerably more to have an adequate amount and this is hard on a plant based diet as it is. Carbohydrates may be a primary source of fuel depending on the diet. But carbohydrates are the only macro nutrient that aren’t essential for a reason, protein sustains all of our lean tissue, dietary fat is the literal precursor to the majority of the body’s hormones. Trust me, don’t do a high carb low fat low protein diet. It doesn’t end well.
