I’m a jeweler and moissanite is still expensive. I sell pieces for about 2k to 12k. A Cuban chain bracelet made of moissanite is 700$. It’s not fake. Just affordable.

Moissanite isn’t “fake” it’s still a fairly expensive gemstone. It isn’t cubic zirconia (glass) it’s still a stone. It’s not a diamond, but that doesn’t mean it’s “fake” it’s just a different stone. That’s like saying lab created diamonds are “fake” it’s still a diamond it’s just created by man instead of inhumane mining methods. Have a good day 👍

Facts moissanite gives off the same heat conductivity as diamonds, you need a loupe to look into the reflections of the moissanite you can then tell the difference when looking at it and comparing it to a real diamond. For those curious about lab grown diamonds, those actually pass with flying colors all around. Only thing that has been difficult to some is that there’s been found tampering of lab grown diamonds to look more natures tears a lot of coming from the east side of the country. So to my east coast Gs you know stay alert.

⁠ I got a $13, 000 vvs2 pendant, and I also have $2000 custom Moissanite pendants, The difference between the two when you look at them in the light is so damn similar ain’t nothing wrong with moissanite, without expensive equipment experienced jewelers I have a difficult time pointing out the difference, most pawn shops and jewelry stores. Don’t have $30, 000 gem identifying machines I have even seen high end popular jewelry companies with simple testers it comes down to whoever owns that specific store if they’re willing to dump the money to have proper machinery the point is yes they are two different stones but remember they’re only a few molecules different of $1500 moissanite chain if done properly can look like a $50, 000 chain . I don’t buy diamonds anymore I can get the same durable quality jewelry that will last a lifetime for 90% cheaper diamonds are not an investment to lose more than half of the money that you spent on it when you go to sell it gold and silver a hold its value if you do the math in the long run you’ll save yourself a brand new car and a house by purchasing moissanite instead . I can spend $20, 000 on a diamond chain if I want to but why would I do that when I can get the twin sister for so much cheaper you can’t tell the difference the human eye is not built like an x-ray machine the difference between the two stones is so minimal I see absolutely no reason why to buy diamonds anymore that is my personal opinion and preference people really need to stop knocking Moissanite
