What is the safest country in the world?
At first, a lot of people would probably think of the United States. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Many countries in Europe such as Iceland or Ireland rank as the number 2 and number 1 spots on this list. In fact, Iceland has such a low crime rate that the police don't even have to wear guns.

Fun fact about Iceland: one time when 2 murders and a disappearance happened in the span of a few days, police had no idea how to deal with the situation. Long story short 5 people were forced to confess to the same murders, yet they all had different stories since next to none of them likely had any real involvement. The case remains unsolved and 5 people were mentally traumatized and spent <1-3 years in solitary confinement, sometimes normal prison, but mostly solitary.
