Your vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve in the body, also known as the wandering nerve. There's a lot of communication that happens from your body and the vagus nerve up to the brain.

When we focus on our vagus nerve and do exercises to get in touch with it, we're actually activating our parasympathetic nervous system. In today's meditation, you will experience several different exercises that will help you connect to and create a relationship with your vagus nerve, along with helping you feel relaxed and calm.

In this 25-minute yoga nidra you will learn tools that you can use outside of your yoga nidra practice, where it matters the most, to access your vagus nerve. Get the vagus nerve reset you need to create a healthy nervous system that supports your well-being by practicing this nidra a few times a week.

Do not listen while driving. Meditation and self-care like yoga nidra and face yoga are tools to support you. This is not a substitute for medical care. Consult a doctor or trusted health professional if needed.

Each morning I practice. Loren hits it out of the park with this one. A true journey.

Other yoga nidra teachers are often too wordy or too scattered. Loren is concise - and more effective.

One loving suggestion: invest in a deeper, bassier mic for your lovely voice. Peace.

Really appreciate your work with the vagus nerve. I am intentionally working with it throughout the day and this practice is a beautiful way to begin that journey and clarify my intention. I also liked the third person relationship with myself. I visualized my true self or higher self communicating with my physical body and the emotional parts that I experience throughout the day. I keep coming back to this. Three times this week, each session unique and calming. In my first 2 sessions, my nerves were a bit over stimulated or shot beforehand. I did not fall asleep, but definitely went into deep rest. My third round I stayed alert the whole way, so I followed every guided step - and wow - it felt magical and charged ⚡️
