If your TA doesn’t cover your course, and you use TOP UP the money for Top up does affect your GI bill but, like he said, TA itself doesn’t affect the Gi Bill

You can use the GI Bill as a TA Top Up for school. I am considering doing it. They will pay for the expenses that Army TA doesn't cover. So if you want to take more class and TA only gives 4500 per FY, you can use the GI Bill for a top-up.
