Several months ago, my son was involved in a no-fault 3 car accident out of state (in IL). While the other 2 cars (both IL plated), were hauled off for repair w/in 1/2 hour, it took AAA over 4 hours to provide roadside assistance. The problem is when you are involved in an accident in one state while having initiated service in another, the Club from the state where the accident occurs needs confirmation from your state where you originated the service. Apparently, after 15 or so calls to both our home state (VA) and IL, they finally managed to get confirmation and let out a contract for towing, but only after we pleaded w the tower to act before he was in receipt of the AAA contract to assist. During this time, my son was subjected to a hostile tower elsewhere that forced his way into the car and took my son's phone after threatening to call the police. All this information was shared w AAA Customer Service and their Executive Group. I wanted to cancel our service, but apparently, they will not allow that. How illegal is that? Buyers beware, look elsewhere. AAA is not what it used to be. They have become grifters!!!

If you bundle your home and auto insurance with AAA you can get a great deal. I always look for quotes prior to renewal so I can compare prices and AAA always beats other quotes. 👍

I have a current claim open with Allstate for storm damage to my roof. Its been a horrible experience dealing with them to say the least.
While my neighbors around me are getting brand new roofs I am arguing on phone with Allstate.

Great info! I have had the same issue you do where each state has there own site. I have to turn off my VPN and not use TOR to get to my states site

I personally have Allstate full coverage high-end. And when I went into Aaa to get a quote for the identical coverage, they quoted me $881 additional per year. I am a perfect driver and being there I started laughing and asked them to sign me up because I was looking to pay more instead of paying less.😂

Allstate continues to raise fees and their customer service beyond sign up is terrible. Therefore, I think it may be time to switch over if AAA full coverage is just as competitive? Thoughts, thanks…:)

My husband finally called after multiple texts to say that we’ve been waiting for 4.5 hours with two seniors and two kids and they told us to wait another 45 minutes. Throughout the day we’ve had 4 cops ask us if we were okay since we pulled over on government property.

I love Allstate motor club I can just request a tow and get to the point when needed, no hidden extra fees to the tow company or fighting AAA for more tow mileage even though for years been paying for it and only had to use it once or twice yet they give you a hard time with a few miles which completely defeats the purpose of having AAA to begin with...

Wow ... you hit the nail right on the head with AAA and their website with the IP address. I moved to North Carolina from California and I had a very difficult time trying to login. And then when I called it was worse I got bounced around, and when I finally reached where I wanted to be they asked me if I was in Northern or Southern California, I remember I said Northern because it was San Francisco but they said "that's actually South". Jajajajajajajajaja

I would NOT recommend AAA. They refused to renew our policy without any communication to us. We had a homeowner's policy with AAA Insurance for about 14 years without issue and it always auto-renewed and the premium paid through impound account so the experience was virtually hands off for us. They did not communicate their intent resulting in the policy expiring. They won't consider renewing either!
If fear maybe this is a more industry wide issue but AAA deemed our policy non-renerable due to construction debris seen on an areal image while we were doing a home remodel.
My complaint is we were not informed and when I called they didn't have any excuse, sympathy or advice other than get another policy somewhere else.

BEWARE - YOU MIGHT WANT TO THINK TWICE BEFORE INSURING VAULABLES WITH AAA
An AAA rep told me today that if you want valuables insured you must:
a) get an appraisal.
b) take BOTH the appraisal AND the item/s into a local AAA office.
Are you kidding me !!!?
So people who have gold bars etc. are going to lug them into an AAA office (risking their life perhaps ... especially in LA) so AAA can be sure you actually own them.

I have AAA a new 2020 Hyundai ELANTRA with their most comprehensive ultimate package diminishing deductible claim forgiveness on my total cost is about 1400 zero deductible than glass hundred deductible on comprehensive and 500 on collision if I am at fault I love it
