right to sum this up for everyone dean was amazing in season 1 ended up being toxic but dean n rory’s whole relationship after season 1 was toxic in BOTH ends, Dean was toxic to lindsay aswell, dean would scream at rory instead of calmly talking he’d always make her think she was the only one in wrong he became obsessive n rory kept leading him on hurting him N when they broke up for the jess thing Rory knew she was horrible, dean never excepted the fact how he was horrible as well

tbh rory was the worst to dean. she kept stringing him along even tho she liked jess. she cheated on him and acted all innocent when he broke up with her. Sure he was the worst husband to lindsey but he was a very broken character. He had to see someone who he loved fall in love with another guy which caused him to be clingy and insecure. season 3-4 rory made me super mad she basically became one of the worst characters in her own show.

Why so much hate on Dean!? I don’t get it! He was the sweetest to Rory, yeah, he became insecure and jealous but Rory started it all, hiding things from him, lying and flirting with Jess when they were still boyfriend and girlfriend.
I don’t get the hype for Jess either. Out of all the guys, including Tristan, Jess is the one I simply can’t stand.

Rory literally says at the revival Dean was the best boyfriend one could’ve had (or something to that extent). Yeah he was jealous and possessive but this was caused by Rory chronically flirting with other men, cheating on him (Tristan and Jesse), so I think even girls if their boyfriends were doing that to them would get angry and possessive. If the guy were to cheat and gaslight and the girl gets angry, no one would blame the girl, they would blame the guy. But because Dean is a guy who was being angry, he’s portrayed as the evil narcissistic guy with anger problems smh. He didn’t handle his anger in the best way but Rory is also accountable for treating him like sh*t.
