I got diagnosed with IBD this month and it has forced me to cut off all sugar, processed carbs, and gluten. I have been eating a lot of salmon, berries, kale, avocado, macadamia nuts, sweet potatoes, etc. Already I have seen a difference in my skin even though that was never the goal. Diet is SUPER important.

I feel sad about people in their 40s talking about being comfortable with aging. They have no idea what's coming once they hit their 60s. Enjoy your youth while you still have it. Btw - I look good for my age and have been told I look ten years younger. I’ve been on HRT since I entered postmenopause 10 years ago. I do a lot of yoga, eat well, have a job I love, a wonderful family and friends. But it gets harder and harder as your body continues to break down. It’s a fact. So, as I said, enjoy your youth.

Never heard anyone recommend looking at your diet with a weekly view. Excellent advice! When I start listening to dietary advice about what we need, I get super stressed as that would mean increasing what I eat and I don't want to do that at 50 😅

Please don’t forget ladies in their 60’s. I’ve taken good care of my skin over the years, but would love any advice you may have to offer. I just found you today and I’m so grateful for your honesty! Keep it up. ❤

Having a menstrual cycle for decades wasn't a joyride for me. Menopause often is portrayed as doom and gloom. I am learning to embrace aging. I feel more confident in my 40s, aware and take better care of myself. With age, comes wisdom. I can't control the future, but I can make smarter choices each day that will support my mind and body. I personally add Vital marine collagen to my protein shakes, and it works for me, in addition I add maca, moringa, mushroom master blend, l-lysine, vitamin c and d3/k2 and feel balanced. I would love to see more emphasis on the positive side of aging. Maybe I sound impractical, but I prefer to be optimistic.

I like that she speak the truth about any subject. As a medical esthetician one of my duties is to educate, inform about skincare/ skin routine, ingredients to my clients in order to get them the best for their concerns.

Darling, Dr, I LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!!
And… I can vouch for the collagen-ingestion theory: I had terrible cellulite. Like terrrrible. A month ago I started taking a scoop and a half a day of collagen peptides powder and the cellulite is almost all gone in 4 short weeks!!! Come to think that I was wasting my money on all these expensive cosmetic treatments. Now I know why no cosmetician ever told me to supplement with collagen powder to solve my cellulite issue because they would be out of business. Food IS medicine. Much love, CM

Damn, this video is the best you’ve ever done and every single previous videos are already so good. But this vid is next level deep, thorough, comprehensive and challenge viewers to rethink about how they can approach aging in a more holistic way instead of just focusing on skincare. 👏👏👏

I was really happy to learn about copper peptides. I saw a clip recently of a dietician who explained that zinc supplements can deplete copper. That immediately rang a bell with me, because the Covid year we all profusely supplemented on zinc was also the time my skin turned visibly thinner and noticeably sagged on me. Copper supplements are hard to find. There is a little in spirulina, but not much.
I also find that my friends who refuse HRT suffer way quicker skin deterioration than those who use it, so I suppose oestrogen must play a role too. There's a new wave of medical researchers, particularly women, who feel that oestrogen supplementation should start way earlier than menopause, for a list of reasons.

I notice a massive difference in my skin when I eat chicken soup regularly. I think the collagen-boosting factor is present in the part of the soup that seems to be thicker, glossy, and even a bit slimy. So you don't want to skim the soup too much. Also, eating chicken or fish skin. These are huge collagen boosters, in my personal experience!!!
