Few mistakes
❌Washing face multiple times a day
▪️This is a common mistake made by those with oily skin.
▪️If you work out in the morning, just splash your face with water and after work out use a face wash.
▪️If you work in a dusty environment, then use a gentle cleanser in the morning and as soon as you come home, wash your wash with a face wash. Non need to wash again before sleep.
▪️Even washing face with plain water multiple times can cause irritation to the skin. So avoid frequent washing. Two times is enough.
❌Washing your hair once a week
▪️People with hectic schedules and scholars going children tend to wash their hair once a week. This makes oily skin worse as there is transfer of oil from the scalp to pillow and then on face.
▪️Also oil can trickle down to forehead and side of face causing more acne.
▪️Make sure to shampoo your scalp three times a week. Washing with only water is not adequate to clean the scalp.
❌Skipping face wash at night
▪️Do not miss this step no matter how tired you are. Washing your washing at night with a face wash is mandatory to remove sunscreen , dirt, grime and oils which have collected on the face throughout the day.
▪️This is the most important time to wash face to remove all dirt at sebum.
❌Skipping a moisturiser at night
▪️Never skip a moisturiser at night as it helps in repairing skin overnight.
▪️Use a light gel based moisturiser which will not feel oily. We don’t want to dry the skin out otherwise skin will make more oil.
