Discussing the different Linux distros that are focused on security and privacy but can be used as a daily driver. Which ones are the best and the most usable? What are the problems affecting their usability and how to fix that?

I'm the Internet Privacy Guy. I'm a public interest technologist. I'm here to educate. You are losing your Internet privacy and Internet security every day if you don't fight for it. Your data is collected with endless permanent data mining. Learn about a TOR router, a VPN , antivirus, spyware, firewalls, IP address, wifi triangulation, data privacy regulation, backups and tech tools, and evading mass surveillance from NSA, CIA, FBI. Learn how to be anonymous on the Internet so you are not profiled. Learn to speak freely with pseudo anonymity. Learn more about the dangers of the inernet and the dangers of social media, dangers of email.

I like alternative communication technology like Amateur Radio and data communications using Analog. I'm a licensed HAM operator.

Thanks Rob for another good video which puts privacy and cyber security as priority. Too many people don't care that they are totally giving up control of their computers. You are helping all of us who still want our personal computers to belong to us!

Good on ya for mentioning offensive hacking/pentesting distros like Kali and Black Arch, since they are often confused with privacy-based distros. The distinction is extremely important!

You can use Qubes without Tor. That said, thanks for making the video. Very helpful for those exploring their options.

You can harden every Debian-based distro with Apparmor and Firejail. (Ubuntu based distros don' t work well- or even crash with Firejail, but have Apparmor installed by default) MX Linux Package Manager, for example, provides Tor Browser for direct download. Plus using Virtual boxes for different purposes, all hardened using firejail. MX Linux has this wonderful USB maker with one klick you can make a clone of your system on USB. This is more a security than a privacy solution but very easy and practical for daily use. It has not necessarily to be one of the special security distros to encrypt and make Tor work. You can do that on every Linux distro with some tweaks.

Hi Rob, I've just discovered your channel. Love the content!
I have a question. Is an OpenBSD desktop anymore secure than a normal (non-security oriented) Linux distro (Debian, Ubuntu) for browsing the web, torrenting, banking?
