Suggestion for a follow up video. Lots of people stream using devices such as Roku and Apple TV with their HDTV's, if they aren't already using a smart TV with streaming built in. A video on how to use a VPN with such a device where the internet is coming from the wifi gateway in another room would be very helpful.

I live in China so a VPN is quite useful. Occasionally I am unable to connect with my VPN so I have several installed on my PC. It would be nice to have a comparison of VPN performance in places that restrict internet use.

Im on the proton website and the paid version lists p2p/torrent protocols as a feature but the free version does not. Does that mean no vpn privacy protection while using torrent and p2p file sharing software?

Mr. Stratvert
If at all posible, could you elaborate of a Text-to-Speech/Voice program called Balabolka? I have it to har text, but I would like to know if I create a text-to-speech/voice project. Will it save that project in Audio form or will it remain in text format?

Another fabulous video, Kevin. I'm wondering if you'd address the Win/10 VPN settings, and if applying a VPN through the OS makes sense? Additionally, as a Firefox user, I'm wondering how the Mozilla VPN stacks up to your 5 Best Free VPNs? Thanks!

I see Brave browser has also a VPN feature similar to the OPERA one you mention, different to the other options you mentioned that has a software option to download and run/install in your machine, I have few question abut the Browser options
1. Does it only hide the traffic browsing from your internet Provider and the website you are visiting?
2. About the location via your IP address, I know you show you select the location in the browser, does it generate an IP from that location as if you were there? how that the Browser deal with the IP assigned through you modem by the Internet provider which is local?
3. Brave has a private Window with TOR, is it this a sort of VPN service as well? how this will stack up on the options list you mentioned in the video?

Will you be able to change your NAT Type with these VPN`s? I am at a UNI and have a strict NAT type. I need access to play with others.

I would be interested to know if there are options for VPNs at the router level. Would this be better? Would this allow say, a firestick with Netflix on it to access denmark for example, while still allowing multiple local computers to share files and printers?

Thanks Kevin for this great info. I love movies and series from Spain and Turkey and sometimes they are restricted in the US. Need to try some of these options.

Thanks Cookie Monster. 😁 I believe you omitted how many devices one can connect to from each VPN service. I've been using ProtonVPN since 2018. I'm an expat, from the States living in México, and use the VPN so I may hear/watch ads in my native language. — Pluto TV & Plex requires to disable ad blockers.
ProtonVPN provides unlimited data but only allows one device per connection; I have five devices, therefore I had to create five accounts. If I have anything bad to say about the service is: I'm not sure why it auto-connects to Netherlands (sometimes Japan) when it's suppose to connect to the US. I usually don't notice the connection until I log onto YouTube and see the RU (Russia) as my location. Don't mind having to manually reset the YouTube location, but It'd be nice to know why.
