Default Gateway is basically what lets you connect to something outside your broadcast domain (VLAN); in this case trying to connect to the internet or if Alice was trying to connect to Chandra (since Chandra is outside of Alice's domain).

Is the default gateway always the routers connected facing interface? Or can it sometimes be the interface on the other side. For example, when configuring a windows DHCP server in say the 10.10.20.0/24 network to assign ips to the 10.10.10.0/24 network, would the DHCP server's default gateway have to be on the routers interface on it's side (i.e. f0/0 10.10.20.1)? I had a lecture today where I was told to configure it to the host side interface (f0/1 10.10.10.1). That made me question myself and find this video.. Feeling pretty noober
