Why is this app asking me if they can record my message and my videos? I don't think it's necessary for them to record my messages! And why didn't my message come up on your screen?

Some texts i get from my son are normally readable, some say encrypted
He knows nothing about them and have not seen a key or padlock in the chat window

The first time i saw this was after he sent a pic from a friend that said encrypted so i refused to click itt

The encrypted txts are random letters and numbers and not readable
We use android 11 and Google txt
