In this video, we guide you through upgrading your PRUSA MK4 3D printer to the new MK4S. From unboxing the upgrade kit to completing the build, follow along as we show you everything you need to know to enhance your 3D printing setup. Whether you're new or a seasoned pro, this walkthrough will help you get the most out of your PRUSA machine. Let's get building!

Did you also know that we have European partners.

Please note these/this machine(s) have been brought in for evaluation as we are a retailer of 3D printers, supplies and accessories. We only publish videos for printers that have passed our quality testing and we will be stocking now or in future. We receive no financial incentive from manufacturers, do not disclose our scripts (we don’t use scripts!) and manufacturers do not see our videos prior to them being released. Put simply, if we aren’t happy with a printer you’ll never even see the video as we won’t be stocking the item!

When it comes to nextruder assembly - the screws are not the same that were removed after putting the fan spacer and holder. They're slightly longer. Otherwise the entire extruder system is held by half a millimeter of screw and a dream. (Referring to 21min mark)

Thanks for this. My upgrade kit just came in a few hours ago. There was a bit of deja-vu, as I built a Mk3s and my present Mk4 from kits - which I HIGHLY recommend as one gets valuable insights into the working of the beastie.

Completed my MK3s to Mk4s upgrade in about 22hours last month. They are short of about 10 x 12mm bolts and 6 3mm Nylocs for my upgrade but gave me many extras of other not required fasteners. The Web instructions are excellent. The LCD stopped working after about 10 prints. Replugged the flat wire connectors and reflashed. Started to work again. Required a lot of cutting the wire management holding cable ties to do this. Irritating as I need to take the thing apart again to refit the cable ties into the electronics box. The suggested fixes in the Prusa Forum referring to the interference from stepper motor cables did not work in my case. Prusa support was good and got back within the day. I think it was the reflash that fixed the LCD problems. They came back yet again and suggested some other possible solutions. I will try them if I experience the same problems.

I have a MK4 that I upgraded from a MK3S+. Will this kit work on this since it was already upgraded? Also, will the MK4 nozzles work on the MK4S? I ask because I have two brand new nozzles I purchased for the MK4. Thank you.

Does the upgrade affect the connectivity to Prusa connect? As in affter the software flashing?
